This trip encompasses two countries and four cities, Copenhagen and Roskilde Denmark, Malmo and Lund Sweden. If you look at a map, Denmark and Sweden sit right next to each other. We took a train from Copenhagen to Malmo and Lund just to see if Sweden differs from DK very much. Very cool, (you can see in the second pic)- the train actually goes under the Baltic sea (tunnels) than raises right out of the water to continue as a bridge. It's the second longest suspension bridge in the world and just finished in 1998. They are very proud of it.
It rained on and off the entire weekend and both Amy and I were sick but we still had a great time.
Nyhavn is a part of Copenhagen and is very picturesque as you can see and we visited Hans Christian Anderson's grave as well as Soren Kierkegaard's. Christiania (inside of Copenhagen) is an abandoned military area taken over by hippies, artists, wacks. It's a commune where they sell soft drugs and party all the time- pics are forbidden as what they do is illegal.
Amy and I went (the government is closing it down after several years and several attempts). We had a great time chatting with some folks from Norway.
Roskilde, DK is home of the Viking museum - they found 5 Viking ships in their harbor and pulled them out. They decided to start building their own replicas and they let special tourist go out for a sail. What a blast.
